Prayer for Parents

First Sunday of each Month, 10 to 10:15 am. Because parents with children cannot always make it to Grinton Chapel for after-service prayer on Sunday, Professional Prayer Practitioner Ann Parille is offering a special one-on-one prayer time—just for parents—in the Prayer Room near the nursery. Parenting is a wonderful adventure, often times filled with ease, sometimes “wonderfully challenging.” For a little support, stop by for a brief prayer session. Blessings to you for the eternal gifts you bring to your children and to the world!

Grief Support is for anyone experiencing loss of any kind.  Each week a meeting is hosted by a Prayer Practitioner or an individual trained to listen compassionately.  This meeting is open to anyone.  Sometimes there is only one person present with the facilitator and sometimes there is a whole group.  We have no expectations as to how frequently you should use this service if you are experiencing grief.  Think of is as a safe harbor to rest in during your times of grief and loss.

Seniors in Spirit meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the “Star” Restaurant at 1pm for their monthly luncheon. Norma calls ahead and makes reservations so please call her to let her know you will be joining them. 579-1248. In addition to socializing and enjoying good food, this luncheon is also a planning meeting for future events and outings. So, come and share your ideas and inspirations.

Seniors in Spirit has started a monthly “Game Day”. This month (March) the game day will be on Tuesday, March 22nd. Call Norma: 579-1248 for location and times. Last month they played “Apples to Apples”, “Train”, and assorted board games.

These drop in Wisdom Circles are guided using the highly effective organizational development principles of appreciative inquiry.

Project Sleep Warm–Meets the second Saturday of each month from 9 am to noon to make hats and be-drolls for Sonoma County homeless shelters. Drop in anytime; enter through the office doors. Ring the door-bell if no one is at the reception desk. For information contact Anne at 526-9233.
