Born in San Francisco, Carol has enjoyed singing with choirs and ensembles throughout her life, along with playing piano, guitar, and violin. She sang professionally with rock and country bands during the 1980s and 1990s, and was a member of The Fanfares, a jazz ensemble from Foothill College, recording and traveling within California and Hawaii. She has two grown children, Kate (Sonoma) and Patrick (Seattle).Carol moved to Sonoma County in 2003 and began attending the Center the following year. At the Center, she has been a member of the One Heart Choir, the All for One quartet, the Christmas Choir, and enjoys performing backup vocals at Sunday services. She has served the Heart-in-Hand Grief Support ministry since 2006.
Currently, Carol is a Realtor, where she is involved in leadership positions with the Local Women’s Council of Realtors. Prior to real estate, Carol helped start companies in Silicon Valley, and most recently was vice president and general manager for a startup manufacturing firm. She has a master certification in neuro-linguistic programming, a counseling tool for helping others identify and use their gifts in career and life planning, trauma, grief, and other personal issues. She also has prior certification in clinical hypnotherapy through the American Board of Hypnotherapy.
By bringing her management and personal skills to the Board of Trustees, Carol hopes that she will be helpful in continuing the vision of the Center in manifesting the unconditional love of Spirit in our community.
