Advanced Consciousness Studies and Professional Prayer Practitioner Training
Class Information for 2012/2013

Six Required Prerequisite Courses
Any course taken more than five years prior to entry in Advanced Conscious Studies I will not apply. The 5+ year old class, or another in the same category, where applicable, needs to be repeated. The same class may be taken for the audit price.
1. Prerequisite: Beyond Limits or Foundations of Science of Mind
2. Spiritual Practices for Daily Living (Treatment and Meditation) or The Power of Your Word
3. The Essential Ernest Holmes
4. Self-Mastery
5. Roots of Science of Mind or Bible Wisdom or The Edinburgh Lectures
6. Heart-Mind-Body Connection or Meditation is More Than You Think or Practical Mysticism
 
The following certificated classes are not required and offered for practical application: Visioning, 5 Gifts of an Abundant Life, Principles of Successful Living, and Financial Freedom.
 
All classes are developed and approved by the Education Department of United Centers for Spiritual Living as part of the pathway to licensure as a Professional Prayer Practitioner. The RScP designation signifies the license in good standing of the Religious Science Practitioner.
 
The application process includes a self-reflection questionnaire, your certificated class completion history, and an interview. Interviews will be scheduled in June and July.

Important Dates and Information

Advanced Consciousness Studies TEA (Things Everyone Asks)
Sunday, May 20, 2012
1:15 to 2:30 pm in Classrooms 1 and 2
 
Tentative Schedule for 30 Week Classes: September 10, 2012 through April 29, 2013
Monday night classes, 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
There is a two week break for the weeks of December 23 and December 30 and a one week break in late February. There is also a required weekend retreat in January, 2013 and a mandatory "Intro-Info" meeting and potluck on Thursday, evening, September 6, 2012.
 
Total for tuition, fees and retreat, not including books:
ACS I -  $1,050
ACS II - $1,100
If class tuition is paid in four installments, as described below, add $60.
                                    
Tuition cost for both ACS I and ACS II includes a $100 non-refundable deposit due by August 19.
"Full pay tuition" is $750 for all 30 weeks if paid in full by September 6, 2012. Also payable in three installments by the second class of each term in September, November, and January. First term installment is $170, the $270 in the second and third term for a total of $810

Background Investigation fee to United Center for Spiritual Living is required for all students entering Professional Practitioner Studies - ACS II. The cost is $50. This is a criminal background check which includes public records, credit history, educational and employment records, etc.

 
The Friday-Sunday Retreat in January is an additional cost of approximately $300, which includes program, meals, and lodging. This may also be paid in installments the first week of November, December, and January. There is no additional fee to pay in installments.
 
Registration is by appointment during the week for the first two weeks of August. Last day to register is Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the registration table in the Social Hall. Pay either $100 deposit for the installment plan or $750 in full.
