Gentle Yoga with William Abel
Wednesday mornings, 10 to 11:30 am, Grinton Chapel

Hatha Yoga postures at a level and pace that is ideal for those who are new to yoga and for those with physical limitations. Sessions also include chanting, deep relaxation, meditatioin, and short lessons on Raja Yoga (yoga of the mind). Drop-in. $12 per session.

 

Deep Slow Yoga and Breathing Practices with Natalie Seagraves
Wednesday evenings, 5:30 to 7 pm, Rooms 1 and 2

Though classic postures, breathing practices, and meditations, we open doors of bliss where life itself becomes deep and slow. Ongoing six-week sessions. Call Natalie at 579-4602 for more information and to enroll.

 

Adaptive Yoga with Brenda Kobrin, RScP and RYT500
Tuesday mornings, 10:15 to 11:30 am, Room 11 (North Wing)

Designed for people with balance and mobility issues, such as those with MS. Traditional yoga poses are adapted for the individualized needs of the students, sometimes using chairs, blocks, straps, and walls to assist. The pace is slower than most yoga classes, with ample time for students to get into and out of poses. Those who cannot get onto the floor are given chair yoga options. Ongoing sessions. Yoga Nidra with Kathy Reardon, RScP, Amrit® Method Certified Facilitator
Multi-week series.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient sleep-based meditation technique that not only relaxes the body, but creates a different relationship with stress-producing thoughts and emotions. It focuses primarily on quieting the mind and boosting the energy flow of the body (prana). It is designed to guide the practitioner to recognize the silent place of being that always resides within us. Yoga Nidra has the power to take you to the innermost, deepest levels of relaxation where your whole body and being is permeated by peace of mind and profound stillness.
