Creativity Circle
Art as a Spiritual path can take us more deeply into whatever place it is that our soul calls home whether that place is a church, a synagogue, a mosque, a dance studio, a soup kitchen, or a deep forest. Through receiving and giving form to new images, we breathe life into ancient scriptures and eternal teachings. — Pat Allen

These creativity workshops and events are facilitated by Sanna Rose, RScP, and Art Therapist.

- Rollo May

$45 fee will cover all costs for all three workshops.

Registration is required for the entire 3 week series. For more information sign up in the social hall beginning Sept. 18, or contact Sanna Rose, RScP at 707-539-6155.

Update for July

Sunday, July 24, 2 pm to 5 pm at the Center. This month we will have an open studio format, so that all previous projects will be available to revisit, refine, and delve into more deeply. So, bring your inner child, and prepare to have some fun. You will receive all of the guidance and support you need to freely interact safely and successfully with our studio art materials. Create a treasure map, a personal shrine, decorate a mask, or create a spontaneous mandala. There is no limit to Spirit's creativity in you, through you, and as you. No pervious art experience is expected.

July will be the final Creativity Circle at the Center for the summer with plans to bring it back in the fall. Small intimate art circles will be meeting off site in my barn for August. If you are interested you can contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will send you more information.

April 24, 2011 Creativity Circle

This is a reminder notice that the Creativity Circle will be meeting Apri 24 at 2pm. A wonder-filled time was had by all last month and we are all excited and looking forward to another day of doing art and creative projects together. This is a healthy and helpful experience for your clients, friends, and well, everyone, and it supports the Center. So bring a friend. Children 8 years or older, accompanied by a parent, and teens without a parent, are welcome to attend free of charge.

Testimonials:

"I really liked being challenged and I felt the support of the other participants. I came home and felt bigger somehow! I look forward to the next time.” This group experience was surprisingly safe and rewarding. I think a lot of that has to do with you! You had quite a bit of materials on hand and everyone was able to express themselves in ways that worked for them. I liked how you engaged with people on a one to one basis and you have a genuine appreciation of each individual.”

“I really like the dynamic of independent work (or play) within a group setting. It's always so interesting to see the outcome.”

Each month I will bring one special project or medium to explore in addition to the open studio materials you will be free to use and create with. This month I will be bringing liquid watercolors and I will give a brief demo for those of you who would like a to explore this medium. So, now it’s up to you to join us and reap the wonderful spiritual experience of creating together in community.

This energy which we call “making” is the relating of parts to make a new whole. The work of art gives us an experience of wholeness called ecstasy—a moment of rising above our feelings of separateness, competition, divisiveness “to a state of exalted delight in which normal understanding is felt to be surpassed.”

“There is a zen statement “After ecstasy the laundry.” The smaller ecstasies (arts) keep us nourished so that we have the strength to continue working on the larger art.” Sister Corita

Please remember there is a $20 fee for materials and the use of the space, the above groups mentioned exempt. You are also free to bring your own project or materials.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface.
