Wishlist: An In-House Machine for Project Sleep Warm

I’ve been thinking about how to get an in-house machine for Project Sleep Warm. I am friends through the Santa Rosa Quilt Guild with a woman who works for Parkside Sewing. We would be able to purchase a good refurbished machine in the $100 range (I would want to be sure it has a walking foot like we discussed).

Or, maybe someone has a machine they could donate - in very good working condition and needing no repairs.

Here is a current photo journal of the acivity on Saturday mornings at the Center with the Project Sleep Warm group. These quilts are in various sizes from child size to family size and are warm and cozy.

Project Sleep Warm gratefully accepts donations of quilt batting, old blankets, mattress covers, cotton or flannel fabric, and will accept a portable sewing machine.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
